The postseason seemed to be over for the Boston Celtics as they saw themselves trailing 3-0 against the Miami Heat. The Celtics managed to win Game 4 in order to head back to their home turf to extend the series. Boston?s finest had some new-found motivation to overturn the series and it may have stemmed from this invaluable member of Jayson Tatum?s Celtics.

Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla confessed to watching the $154 million blockbuster The Town four times a week to put him in a ‘Boston mindset’. But when asked about how he kept his calm and composure, he credited three young girls with terminal cancer to put things in perspective instead.

The Miami Heat dropped Game 5 of the series against the Boston Celtics with a final score of 110-97. Derrick White became the pioneer for the team, leading them to a strong start right from the first quarter.

There was no doubt that the Celtics found themselves in a deep hole, trailing the series and one game away from elimination. After the Game 4 win, there seemed to be some light at the end of the tunnel for Boston.

However, it was easier said than done to get the team fired up, given they had barely any margin for error. Prior to Game 5, the Celtics head coach was asked how he remained calm and collected over where they stand right now.

And Mazzulla?s answer was as powerful as it gets. He said, ?I met three girls under the age of 21 with terminal cancer. And I thought I was helping them by talking to them, and they were helping me.?

?Watching a girl dying and smiling and enjoying her life. That?s what it?s really about. Having that faith,? added Mazzulla.

Joe Mazzulla, being a man of faith, said that this experience he had with terminal cancer patients helped put things in perspective.? Even more than watching The Town. No doubt that the movie has some compelling scenes and dialogues.

However, it was watching those young girls, still happy and living life, despite their condition, helped Mazzulla restore his composure for this series. And it surely did work wonders as the Celtics reduced the deficit to 3-2, one game away from evening out the series. And two games away from upsetting the Miami Heat.
