Kwame Brown’s career didn’t exactly go according to his plans. The no 1 pick from the 2001 draft never quite lived up to the hype and expectations. He was also plagued by injuries early in his career, and he had several feuds with his teammates and coaches. Even though he played with stars like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Gilbert Arenas, he never figured out a way to mesh with them. Many analysts name Brown as the ‘Biggest Bust in NBA History.

Gilbert Arenas was once the teammate of Kwame Brown at the Washington Wizards. Both of them were drafted in the same year, but their career trajectories were very different. Arenas went to become a three-time all-star, and he became one of the best scorers in the league. Brown bounced around the league looking for some sort of consistency but was never able to find any footing.

Arenas on Kwame Brown playing with Kobe Bryant

Arenas and Brown have a long-standing feud going on between them, and both of them are not willing to back down. Recently, Brown pulled on a podcast with Gilbert Arenas to confront him. Arenas had previously made some comments about why Brown wasn’t able to succeed in the All the Smoke Podcast. Brown clearly wasn’t happy with his comments and let him hear his thoughts.

Arenas tried to explain himself by saying, “Listen, the reason they ask about Kwame is because I am in his draft. I was a dominant player in his draft, so like everyone who talks about Kwame, they want to throw shade on his name. As teammates, I have seen what happened, when uh, I have seen the effect Jordan had on him. I watched him, I played with so I know the potential what he had.”
