The Houston Rockets have found themselves in deep trouble with a terrible 10-36 record this season during their rebuilding phase after the surprising exit of James Harden in 2021. However, the lack of success and stability on the team along with Harden’s reluctance to sign an extension with the Philadelphia 76ers has led to rumors about the 10-time All-Star’s return to Houston. Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s Milwaukee Bucks, however, look to ruin a James Harden comeback as per a recent report from NBA Insider, Mark Stein.
The Houston Rockets were expecting a below-par performance this season due to their efforts of rebuilding the franchise with young talent. However, their performance has taken an unbelievably huge hit during the first half of the 2022-23 season. With the Rockets losing all hope to make it through the regular season, their veteran sharpshooter Eric Gordon has become a prime trade target for many teams including the Milwaukee Bucks, who have already made an offer.

As per a recent report on Martk Stein.Substack, the renowned NBA analyst claimed that the Milwaukee Bucks have offered the Houston Rockets four second-round picks in an attempt to get Eric Gordon. However, Houston has turned it down as they are on the hunt for a first-round pick in a deal involving Gordon.

Meanwhile, the Bucks are reluctant to give up on their two future first picks in 2028 and 2029. If Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team changes its mind before the trade deadline, the possibility of a James Harden comeback could substantially decrease.
Further, Eric Gordon’s shot-creation skills and his experience make him an interesting trade option. In fact, Gordon is making 36.4% of his catch-and-shoot attempts and is a useful asset coming off the bench. Therefore, many teams could also show their interest in getting the 2017 Sixth Man of The Year.
