NBA fans recognize Giannis Antetokounmpo as one of the biggest stars in the NBA. The Milwaukee Bucks star has established his name among the other stars in the league. A poster boy for European basketball, Giannis dominates the court with his commanding presence. His aggressive playstyle has often helped him win games single-handedly.
Giannis recently spoke about his play style that has earned him plaudits among fans and the media. He was speaking to The Athletic after beating the Indiana Pacers with the Bucks. Giannis spoke about mixing up his playstyle in order to score more effectively in the paint and dominate his rivals.
Giannis told The Athletic, “There’s sometimes that you have to force your will into the game. I feel like sometimes when you come in and they load and you just pass, they don’t feel you as much. But now, when you get in there, get in the gap and they hit you and close it up, then they feel like, ‘Oh shit. He’s here.’ But that’s my opinion.”

“There are times where sometimes you just have to come and make the easy one. I’m doing it more this year because I felt it in the first couple games, I wasn’t able to score the ball as much in the paint because I was just making the right pass over and over and over again and I just want to impose my will. I want people to feel me.”
NBA defenders widely fear Giannis’ signature spin. Giannis often pulls out this move to score in the paint. Mixing up his move to help his teammates score remains one of Giannis’ aims. The two-time NBA MVP guided the Bucks to the 2021 NBA title.
