Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks took on the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. The Mavs were coming off a victory against the Blazers while the Pacers won in overtime against the Thunder. Meanwhile, the Mavs also welcomed their formed coach Rick Carlisle for the first time since he left them last season. Carlisle won the Mavs their first championship in the 2012 NBA finals against the Miami Heat.

The Mavs seemed to have turned the corner, and are currently in the fifth spot in the West. They didn’t have a very great start to the year, but they have found their form at the right time and are in hot pursuit of the Utah Jazz for the fourth spot. Meanwhile, the Pacers have been struggling all season long. They have been hampered by injuries and poor play. They are currently in the 12th spot in the East with a record of 18-33.

Luka Doncic had a great game and his buzzer-beater at the end of the half was the highlight of the game. With only a few seconds remaining on the clock, the Mavs got the ball to Luka to get a shot off. Luka got the ball up, and he lost his defender with a spin move, before stepping back to the corner to drain the fadeaway 3. The degree of difficulty on the shot was really high and Luka made it with ease.

The only blip in the game for the Mavs was that they lost Kristaps Porzingis to injury in the second quarter. They will hope that it’s not a serious one as that will derail their season.
