Due to his hard work and insane workout regime, Kobe Bryant became one the greatest players in NBA history. Throughout his basketball career, Bryant was an inspiration to many people and even today, he is an idol to many.

One such person whom Bryant helped was former Lakers player and his teammate – Caron Butler. Even though it left Butler out of breath most of the time, Bryant played a huge role in shaping Butler’s career.

Kobe Bryant?s blackout sessions

Recently, Butler was seen revisiting his signing day with the Lakers, where he recalled a crazy thing Bryant had said.

Sitting in a double press conference with Butler, Bryant signed a $136 million extension with the Lakers. He then looked at Butler and said, ?Get ready to fu***ing blackout,? recalled Butler. It was like a warning from Bryant to his new teammate, Butler.

The ?Black Mamba? was talking about a tough workout routine and taking things to another level on the court. Butler was taken aback by Bryant’s hardcore training and how much the legendary used to train off-court. No amount of training or workout sessions drained down Bryant?s energy on the court.

However, Bryant’s dedication to sports helped him create his legacy in NBA and become an icon loved by all.? Butler also confessed that the insane blackout sessions with Bryant made him an All-Stars player.

Caron Butler played for the Lakers for just a year (2004-05). However, during his short tenure at the club, Butler had Bryant as his teammate and also workout partner.

Butler himself was a highly-praised player and playing with Bryant early in his career, was the icing on the cake for him. In the video clip, Butler also said, ?The reason why I am in the coaching space is because of the time I spent with Kobe Bryant.? Caron Butler is currently the assistant coach of the Miami Heat, which was also his first NBA team back in 2002.
