The Denver Nuggets were eyeing a third straight victory against the Phoenix Suns on the road. However, Devin Booker stood in their way. Two years back, the Suns met the Nuggets on the same stage of the playoffs. They had swept the Nuggets in the 2021 Conference Semi Finals. After winning the first two games, the Denver side looked poised to have their revenge this time round.
However, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant loudly proclaimed that the Nuggets can’t have their revenge so easily. While Booker led the Suns, he was closely followed by KD who netted 39 points. With the fourth game taking place at their home court again, the Suns are now in a position to aim at swinging the momentum of the series toward themselves.
Following the historic win, a reporter stopped Devin Booker on the court. She asked the Phoenix star about the emotion that kept him going throughout the phenomenal night. “It’s that time of year. We have dropped a few games. I dropped a couple of games on their home floor and now we’re trying to protect ours. No comment. This is an important game for us. Now we got to turn around and get ready for Sunday,” Devin Booker replied.
The performance has also got the Phoenix Suns star to a place where many stars aspire to be. Booker just got closer to one of Michael Jordan’s post season records in a brilliant display of his Mamba Mentality.
