There seems to be competition between the LA teams for Irving’s signature, as the Lakers are reportedly working on a deal for Irving. The 2016 NBA champion is expected by many in the NBA world to reunite with former Cavs teammate LeBron James in LA.

Fans seemed surprised to see the Clippers aiming for Irving. One user wrote, “The Clippers could trade for Kyrie, get Michael Jordan to come out of retirement, and add the ghost of Wilt Chamberlain and still nobody in LA would care about the team.”
