Both Kyle Kuzma and LaMelo Ball have begun the 2021-22 season on a high. While the former has been performing exceedingly well for the Wizards, Ball is currently the breakout star for the Charlotte Hornets. The lesser known fact is that the duo are pretty good friends off the court. Today, we look at an instance back in 2018, when LaMelo tried to troll Kuzma. In return, the 26-year-old hilariously made fun of the rookie’s teeth.

After a tough season with the Lakers, Kyle Kuzma was sent out to the Washington Wizards. Starting afresh, ‘Kuz’ has had more freedom to express himself. The #33 has averaged 16 points in the season thus far, and has carried his side to a 5-2 record. Meanwhile, LaMelo had been unanimously declared by many analysts as the young gun to watch out for this year. And he hasn’t disappointed, amassing over 20 points on average. This has resulted in his Charlotte going 5-3, potently placed within the top-8.

Throwback to when Kyle Kuzma turned the tables and trolled LaMelo Ball

All those who follow the NBA’s big stars on social media, will know how active Kyle Kuzma is. He posts stylish images of himself every now and then. Back in early 2018, the then LA rookie had posted an image of him in Chicago. He was wearing an off-beige coat over a white t-shirt, with jeans and stylish boots. LaMelo, just 16-year-old back then, tried to take a dig at Kuzma, which he would’ve surely regretted later on.

Replying to the post, the 2021 NBA Rookie of the Year commented, “He think he fly.” Many fans were left in splits, as the youngster had taken a shot at an already established player in one of the league’s best sides. As a result, the 2020 NBA Champion responded and hilariously trolled LaMelo in the process. “I’m so fly I could fly between that gap between yo teeth,” stated Kuzma. As a child, Ball didn’t have the best teeth, with a tiny gap between two canines right down the middle.

It was a hilarious turn-around from Kuzma on LaMelo. Yet, the pair seems to have found their feet on the court this year. It’s time to find out who really is ‘fly’!
