The Los Angeles Lakers successfully marched to their first victory this season. They beat the Memphis Grizzlies in a close battle to secure the win. Their team is now looking a lot more balanced and mainly a unit. While their defense still needs work, their offence is working to the best. Unsurprisingly, Anthony Davis is one of the standpoint players for this season yet again.

In a team with such magnitude of stars, Davis has managed to shine out. The Lakers’ main concern is to keep AD healthy for the entire season, and so far all looks good. Davis is playing great at his center role and proving why he received praise as the most talented big man in the league. Contributing on both ends, his impact is irreplaceable to the Lakers.

Lakers center Anthony Davis a once in a lifetime player

Thier conversation started with Kentucky’s all time starting team. Robinson put out the question on whether AD would make Derek’s all time starting five. He said it would be unfair considering there are so many great players, but he put out some serious praise for the star.

When speaking about Anthony Davis, Derek said that he is a once in a lifetime player. This is because he shines like no one in a two way role for his size. The Lakers’ first win was sure proof as he scored 20 points and also got himself 4 blocks during the game. Hence, DA definitely has hit the mark when speaking about Davis.

Derek said: “I think Anthony Davis is a once in a lifetime two way player at that size. No one was using that athletic and that size, that smart at that age, that unselfish, Like dude was former leading scorer on the team and won a national championship and he was the MVP. You know he was a game changer. He is a once in a lifetime player.

Davis is worthy of this praise without question. While he is definitely a star in the NBA, there is a reason he was the number 1 pick. Davis averaged 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks while playing for Kentucky. He tallied 29 blocks, the second most for the tournament. His once year with the Wildcats was special and he is continuing his story in the NBA.
