It’s no secret that Michael Jordan had a love for gambling. The Chicago Bulls legend, though, has insisted in the past that he does not have a gambling problem. In fact, he asserted that it is his competitive attitude, implying that he always likes competing when there is a lot at stake.
Nobody denies Jordan gambled, and at times recklessly. Furthermore, gambling-related conspiracy theories have long surrounded the NBA superstar. In fact, Jordan is said to have lost $5 million in a single gambling session in Las Vegas. Despite the fact that the six-time NBA champion is a man of tremendous wealth, it is still a considerable amount of money to squander.

“His Airness,” however, has always been about learning from his mistakes. He previously bestowed the same bit of wisdom to his children, citing his gambling mistakes as an example.
In an interview with NBC back in 2007, Michael Jordan was joined by his son, Jeffrey Jordan. The interviewer asked the Bulls icon if he ever talks to his son and other children about the mistakes he made and how should they avoid them.
“Sure,” Jordan said right off the bat. “You know when it comes to gambling and doing things like that, I want people to understand, gambling is not a bad thing if you do it within the framework of what it?s meant to be, which is fun and entertaining,? he added.?

Michael Jordan as a father
When you are the child of one of the greatest basketball players of all time, the expectations are enormous. In fact, Michael Jordan has admitted that being a major celebrity like him as a parent is difficult for his children.
In a 1999 interview with Larry King, NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan confessed that there is a burden on his children because of increased expectations. He has always felt, though, that his children will write their own success stories. Jordan understands that he cannot undo the past, but his children will carve out a bright future for themselves.
