The Warriors moved back to the sixth seed after their 121-108 win against the Houston Rockets. Dallas Mavericks’ loss to Memphis Grizzlies helped the Warriors claim back the spot. Though the Mavs are just two wins away from avoiding a play-in spot, injuries are seemingly a big concern for the side. After injuring his left thigh against the New Orleans Pelicans, Luka Doncic continues to stay sidelined while fans await his return at this crucial time.?
In addition, Kyrie Irving twisted his ankle in the game against the Grizzlies today. Playing with soreness in his right foot already, the ankle twist has added fuel to the fire. Further, the one-time champion was found wearing a walking boot after the game. However, Irving revealed he is using the boots due to a re-aggravation from a previous injury. Nevertheless, fans seem to be concerned about the Mavs’ future this season even after Irving has reiterated his availability for the upcoming game.?
The last time Irving faced the Warriors, the 6’2 guard balled out and gave Stephen Curry and Co. a taste of his prowess. After dropping 38 points for his former team Brooklyn Nets in the face-off, Irving went on to switch teams. Meanwhile, the Warriors had the last laugh against Dallas Mavericks in their match-up one month ago. Moreover, the Warriors also defeated the Mavericks 4-1 in the Western Conference finals in 2022.?
