Jimmy Butler recounted an experience when he turned his back on Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa during his appearance on the Alo Yoga podcast. The incident occurred when Jimmy Butler and his teammates were on the court. His teammates were using ‘Beats By Dre’s’ headphones. Back then, these headphones were wireless, and they had a thick cord that was “obnoxiously loud.”Instead of placing these headphones on his ear, they would just place them around their neck.? Butler was annoyed about the loud music playing through these headphones. At times, it would be Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, or even Lil Jeezy. This prompted Butler to ask the obvious question: “Why dont y’all turn it down?”
Their response didn’t sit right with Butler. They said, “Nah dont worry about it. Worry about what’s coming out of your headphones.” Butler then decided to take matters into his own hands.
Following the game, Jimmy Butler went home, and he looked up. “What’s the most country song there is?” Even though there were three songs that popped up, the one that topped the list was ‘Don’t Take the Girl’ by Tim McGraw.
He downloaded it and used that as a weapon the next time he stepped onto the court.

He blared the downloaded song on his headphone in a similar fashion that his teammates did, purely out of spite. His teammates, after listening to the song blasting out of the headphones, asked him to turn down the song. However, Jimmy replied, “No, you listen to what’s in your headphones, I’mma listen to what’s in mine.”
However, what started out as him teaching a lesson to his teammates ended up with him falling for country music.
