Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors took on the Memphis Grizzlies at home. From last season’s playoff series, there has been quite a bit of rivalry brewing between the two teams, and did not disappoint once again. As the young and talented Grizzlies faced the time-tested Warriors, the game had everything and went to the wire. The Warriors managed to win 120-122 behind Curry’s massive performance. However, in the dying minutes of the game, the two-time MVP was ejected after a technical foul.
The call added more drama to the finish. Nevertheless, the Dubs were able to hold on to their nerves as Jordan Poole hit the game-winning layup with just 2.1 seconds left in regulation. However, he did frustrate many including Curry.

With just 1:20 left in regulation, the Golden State Warriors were leading the game by two points with the score being 114-116. Klay Thompson missed a floater but got the offensive rebound and passed it to Jordan Poole, with 9 seconds on the shot clock. With the shot clock reset to 12 seconds, Poole took a long-range 3-pointer and missed. Stephen Curry was furious about the play as he wanted the ball and was apparently disappointed Poole did not use the shot clock.
As he was running back, Curry threw his mouth guard in frustration, and the officials ejected him. The four-time champion tried to plead his case to the refs, but that did not help. Warriors fans were not happy with the call as the team would be without their superstar for the dying minutes. Fans on social media were not impressed and vented their frustration. Here are some reactions:
“Lol Poole lucky Steph got mad at him and not Draymond . He woulda caught another case of the beats. He got the game winner at least.”“Curry stay throwing his mouth piece ““it was his frustration at jordan. this is what i hate about jordan, he does this alot, trying to play the hero. but everytime he does that its a 50/50 chance of him scoring. its annoying sometimes.”
“Poole made up for it at the end, but man that was a terrible shot by Poole.”
“Poole redeemed himself with the game winner ““I swear poole has some talent pissing off this teammates”
