At the beginning of their campaign, everything went right for the Warriors. Practically unbeatable, Stephen Curry beating the all-time record for 3-pointers, and everyone looking fit and healthy; it was a paradise for Steve Kerr’s men. However, as the season progressed, injuries cost the team in devastation fashion.
Just as Klay Thompson got back into full match fitness, the likes of Curry and Draymond Green began missing games. As a result, the Warriors slipped from 1st to 3rd in a span of no time. With the knockout stages approaching quicker than ever, can the side hold it together?

Klay Thompson annoyed at constantly criticizing section of Warriors fan base
Most recently, it was another member of the old guard in Draymond Green, who took some part of the blame for GSW’s poor form. Champions from over four years ago, the side has lost 7 out of their last 10 encounters. Having started well, the ‘Splash Brothers’ haven’t kicked into full gear just as yet.
But like all good franchises do, the experienced Dubs will aim at putting their best foot forward in the knockout stage. And ahead of the playoffs, Thompson has vented out his frustration at a certain section of the fan base.

“Fans are so… fans man,” said the 5-time All-Star guard. “The real fans know what’s up. I’m talking about the fans prior to winning championships. Who sat through many years of not winning. But these new fans who come around and expect greatness and they weren’t anywhere to be found prior, we can forget those folks. They don’t deserve to rep the Warriors.” Normally so welcoming and appreciative of the team’s loyal fans, it was an honest message from Klay’s heart.
In spite of the occurrences so far, there’s no doubt that the Dub nation will give their heart and soul in support of Curry and co. during the playoffs. How far do you think the men in blue and yellow will make it this year? Leave your predictions in the comments section.
