Trying to improve their season, the Los Angeles Lakers are back home for their sixth game. They are taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers who see themselves with a winning record so far. However, with the Laker nation at the Staples Center, the atmosphere will be all for the Lakers. Moreover, the ‘Big 3’ is back on the floor after LeBron James missed the previous two games.

While expectations are always high, this game has been messy so far. The Lakers managed to rack up 15 first-half turnovers. However, the combination of Westbrook and LeBron James managed to pull back the purple and gold to level the game at half-time.

LeBron James goes logo

Early in the third quarter, Anthony Davis missed a shot, which became the base of the play. DeAndre Jordan got the offensive rebound and passed it out to James at center court. With time winding down on the clock, LeBron had just enough time to get the shot off. Surprisingly, LeBron made the three all the way from the logo and had the staples all hyped up. However, he is only 1-8 from downtown for the game.

Even the fans on Twitter couldn’t keep their calm as James knocked down the three effortlessly. However, the Lakers are still struggling on the defensive end as the Cavs continue to make shots in almost every possession. Moreover, they need to keep their turnovers in control if they want to get back to winning ways.

Amidst all the problems, the one good news is that LeBron James did not pick up any serious injury. His health is crucial for the Lakers to be successful this season. Not only has the ‘King’ improved his shooting to 48% from downtown, but his passing is one of the best in the league. Hence, he is the most important piece for the Lakers this season.
