The news of James Harden finally finding a new home in the Brooklyn Nets was unsettling to some and amazing to others. The Beard saw the light of day after pulling so many tantrums and openly showcasing he had given up on the Rockets.
This move also meant that he will now form a super-team alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. For the NBA league, one would assume this is good because the fanbase would love to see a potential Nets vs Lakers game in the NBA Finals. If the 2-time NBA All-star Isaiah Thomas is to be believed, then yes. He recently sat down and gave out his important views for a podcast. The 31-YO expressed, “So the trade, I definitely wasn’t surprised because the night before, the interview after the game, that was kind of the cherry on top, right there, to see that relationship was over. It was just a matter of time, them finding the right situation, right guys to make the trade.”
He was referring to the post-game interviews after the Rockets’ loss to the Lakers. At one end, it was James Harden openly admitting that he can’t do any better.
On the other end, it was John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins sharing a cryptic message to show their disdain against The Beard. It took just a few hours after those remarks when the trade news of the year came out.

About the Brooklyn Nets’ decision, the NBA vet added, “It’s a players’ league, and the scary thing over there in Brooklyn with those guys, they have to make that [indiscernible] they have in those, three talented, All-NBA, All-Stars, MVPs, and all that on the same team. So, that was a crazy day, but that is the NBA and you never know a move like that can probably open up things for a guy like myself.”

It was interesting how he slid himself into the conversation. Isaiah, the 5’9” point guard, was on the pinnacle of his career with the Boston Celtics. But once he was traded to the Cavs, his career took a turn for worse. He played with 4 teams in the past three seasons. The Clippers were the last to wave him (within two days) after acquiring from the Wizards.
The star had openly expressed his willingness to play for the Warriors. Moreover, teams like Celtics, Sixers, and Wizards might show an interest in his services. Will all these recent trades make way for a ‘now healthy’ Isaiah? Help us know in the comments.
