O’Neal has time and again outsmarted his peers or even incensed them with his crude remarks on live TV. Once during a live TV session, Shaq had thrown harsh words at a Rockets legend. That episode, however, is a story of the past as Shaq has recently shed light on the warm equation he has with the 2x-NBA champion.

Achieving glory as a media personality alongside the likes of the Houston Rockets veteran and others, Shaquille O’Neal recently touched up on the work ethic they uphold. While doing so, he gave a shout out to the fellow NBA veteran’s parents as well.

Following Denver Nuggets’ iconic maiden championship win, TNT analysts Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith were asked to comment on the success of?Inside the NBA.?“Hard day’s work. Because you know we are hardworking people. Because we come from hardworking… Kenny’s mom and dad worked all their life. My mom and dad worked all their life. Never complained,” Shaquille O’Neal said.

Then, Shaq went on to highlight that his and Kenny Smith’s experience on the hardwood has helped them become prominent analysts of the sport. Furthermore, O’Neal stressed that Smith is a two-time NBA champion and was a prominent role player. However, little more than a year back, during an Inside the NBA?episode, Shaq was not this nice to Smith.

Last season, in a playoff series, the Boston Celtics had swept the Brooklyn Nets out, despite Brooklyn housing superstars like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. While the TNT analysts dissected the games on TV, Kenny Smith went all guns blazing on Kevin Durant and criticized him for the lackluster show. Meanwhile, Shaquille O’Neal could relate to the pressure on KD and was not a great fan of Smith’s critique. Kenny, no disrespect to you but y?all don?t know what me and Chuck had to go through. Y?all are from the outside looking in. When you?re the star like us, it?s your fault.??said Shaq.

O’Neal’s words were arguably a bit disrespectful. But they don’t come as a surprise, as it is someone as outspoken as Shaq who came up with the take. Besides, this is just one heated instance in the history of the famed show, which usually is characterized by such heated arguments and mockeries. Anyhow, none of those exchanges have affected the warm chemistry the TNT analysts share as they continue to be America’s favorite.
