NBA teams are going through key changes, as free agency has commenced recently. Prior to the free agency, front offices made key changes to their side depending on the impact these teams had in the last season. As things turned out back then, firing head coaches was a trend in the NBA world. Among the head coaches who were shown the door was the then-Philly coach, Doc Rivers. The Philadelphia 76ers had sacked him after their underwhelming Game 7 exit in the Conference Semi-Finals. Rivers’ son, however, has recently given his flowers to the NBA teams out there.
Doc Rivers’ son seems to be excited about an ongoing event in the hoops world. Besides, the 30-year-old star remarked he has got nothing but immense respect for certain NBA teams.

The Philadelphia 76ers fired Doc Rivers on May 16. Soon enough, they brought in former Raptors coach, Nick Nurse, to replace Rivers. Just like the 76ers, the hoops world also moved forward quickly. From Denver’s maiden championship win to the ongoing free agency drama, so much has happened since Rivers’ firing. Now, the basketball world is witnessing the NBA Summer League. Doc Rivers’ son and Minnesota Timberwolves star Austin Rivers was quick to take note of the ongoing league.
The Summer League is one stage where young ballers can showcase their talents as NBA teams try out their summer rosters instead of their regular season lineups. Austin Rivers recently claimed he respects those teams that allow youngsters to play Summer League in the second year. Austin Rivers tweeted,?“I love the NBA teams that make their young talent play summer league second year. Even if it?s a just couple games. It?s a message( there is more work to do, and having a good rookie season only means so much). Shows their trying to compete and get better?Respect.”
