Nick Young a.k.a “Swaggy P” is a shooting guard who played for several teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors. Young spent 12 seasons in the NBA and he won a championship with the Warriors in 2018. He was known for his shooting ability, particularly from the three-point line.
Young was drafted by the Washington Wizards in the 2007 draft. He played for several teams before joining the Lakers in 2013, which he is primarily remembered for. Later in 2017, he joined the Warriors in search of a championship and delivered at key moments for them. After winning the chip, Young joined the Nuggets where he was later waived.
Even though he didn’t announce his retirement, Nick Young has not been on an NBA team since then. You would expect a 3 point shooter like Young to find his way into a roster, but that has not been the case. Recently, Young attended the podcast Running the Table with Draymond Green and Ty Young, where they addressed various topics.

He answered, “Yeah.. uh, I felt like you know, they were just ready to get rid of people like me, JR (Smith) and like… It was like a cleanup crew for some reason.” Draymond asked Young why he felt that way, to which he replied “I was like.. Probably just too loud.” Tamera Young, who’s also a free agent currently, said she felt pushed out as well.
