NBA Champions are invited to the White House each year. Though from 2016 to 2020, teams that won the title did not visit the White House. The time span was also Donald Trump’s tenure as the President. Teams that didn’t visit the White House included LeBron’s 2020 Lakers who won the title in the NBA Bubble.

Donald Trump unsolicited remark about LeBron James

During a political rally in Nebraska, Trump bought up LeBron’s name. At the rally, Trump was talking about transgender athletes, when he asked LeBron a question that no one would’ve expected.

“I?ll say this to LeBron James who I don?t like very much. I?ll say, ?LeBron, did you ever have thoughts about going woman? Because if you did I?d love to have you on my basketball team.??

LeBron hasn’t reacted to this comment from Trump. Fascinatingly, The former POTUS?had praised LeBron while he was with Miami Heat. However, when Trump was elected as the President, LeBron and Donald’s equation seemed to have soured.

LeBron went on a vacation after getting eliminated from playoff contention

James gave his all in the last few games, trying his best to save the Lakers’ season, but it wasn’t enough. After a disappointing season, LeBron decided to take some time off as he has been seen relaxing on his Dubai trip. Players do tend to travel to different countries so as to prepare themselves for the next season. While others just want to enjoy their time on vacation. Though for LeBron, he should be concerned about what adjustments the team makes for the next season.

This season was one of the worst for LeBron and the Lakers. The team was expected to be a championship contender, but couldn’t live up to expectations. They have also parted ways with Frank Vogel, the head coach, and has set its eyes on possible targets like Quin Snyder and Doc Rivers. It will be interesting to see who will land as the next head coach for the Lakers.
