Former NBA Star’s 6 Words Fueled Son Bronny Proving He Is Just as Ruthless as Father LeBron James: “Them Genetics Just Kicked in….”

LeBron James and Gilbert Arenas share a very unique relationship. From on-court rivals to becoming good friends, LeBron once asked Arenas for a second opinion on his son Bronny James. Upon LeBron’s request, Arenas spent some time training with Bronny and soon realized that the kid is going to turn into a whole different beast pretty soon.

Bronny James didn’t have a normal childhood as the whole world touted him as the flagbearer of his father’s legacy. Both Bronny and LeBron are aware of this reality. So as a concerned father, the Los Angeles Lakers legend contacted Arenas to check on Bronny and discuss with him his progress in training. In a recent interview with Fubo Sports, Arenas shared his observation training with Bronny James.

Arenas provided LeBron James with a checklist based on his observations. He said that LeBron was taller at that age but they did have the same speed and IQ. When it came to jumping abilities and passing skills, quite surprisingly, Bronny isn’t far off from the King, according to Arenas’ assessment. In conclusion, the three-time All-Star stated, “I wouldn’t worry about him.” 

Gilbert Arenas’ six words turned LeBron James’ son Bronny into a beast

Gilbert Arenas once put Bronny to the test by pitting him against Scottie Clark, who is older than Bronny. As expected, Clark was giving a hard time to Bronny on the court. That was when Arenas fueled Bronny with just six words. He said, “Bronny, you’re just gonna take that?” Bronny replied, “No!”

After that, something switched inside Bronny, according to Arenas’ testimony. He went on to destroy Clark for 5-0 in a matter of minutes. The moves that Bronny pulled during the match shocked Arenas. That was when he realized and uttered to himself, “Them Genetics just kicked in.” Furthermore, the former Washington Wizards point guard pointed out that when Bronny reaches 6’6 or 6’7, he’s going to become a whole different beast.

Since a very young age, Bronny James has been under constant scrutiny because of his legendary father. A popular media narrative has been to watch both LeBron and Bronny James to take the court together. However, Bronny will look to work on his game, instead of worrying about the hype around him.
