James Harden and the Brooklyn Nets have not quite lived up to expectations. Even though they are currently fourth in the East and are only two games behind the top seed, they have not played to their best. With Kyrie Irving unable to play home games, they have struggled and have a losing record at home.
The play of James was worrying at the start of the season but he has picked up and he is playing like a top player in this league. He has been averaging 23 points a game, and he is the main facilitator for the Brooklyn Nets. With KD being out for a few more weeks, Harden will have to pick up the slack, especially at home games.
And reports have emerged that James Harden is reportedly unhappy with the situation in Brooklyn. He is not happy about the fact that Kyrie has not joined the team on a full-time basis. Harden recently in a press conference said “Of course, I’m frustrated because we’re not healthy. It’s a lot of inconsistency for whatever reason – injuries, COVID, whatever you want to call it…I don’t know reports. If you don’t hear from me, then it’s reports. I’m frustrated because I want to win.”

Former NBA champion says James Harden deserves better
Kendrick Perkins, a former NBA champion and current basketball analyst, says that Harden deserves better. He says, ” James Harden and Kevin Durant, every day that they see Kyrie Irving in the locker room, they need to call him out. They need to call him out.”
“If I'm James Harden I’m ready to get the hell out. … I don’t blame him for being frustrated right now. Hell, I don’t blame him if he leaves this summer to be honest because he deserves better.”

He also added Harden has shown up to work every day, and he has been left short by Kyrie’s absence. He further added, “Well, If I’m James Harden, I’m ready to get the hell out. I’m ready to get the hell out…. If I’m James, I don’t blame him, I don’t blame him for not signing the contract extension. I don’t blame him for being frustrated right now. Hell, I don’t blame him if he wants to leave this summer… He deserves better.”

James Harden is one of the best players in league history and is arguably the greatest scorer of his generation. He has multiple awards, including the MVP trophy but he has been unable to win a championship. Harden came to Brooklyn to do exactly that but was unable to do it last year due to injuries. He will hope that the Nets can figure out what they can do with the Kyrie situation so that they can challenge for the NBA title.
