The Los Angeles Lakers had a season to forget as they missed out on the playoffs. While LeBron James did his best to will them on, it just wasn’t meant to be. The Lakers superstar is one of the biggest earners in the world of sports.

And the Lakers have some of the biggest earners in the league in LeBron, Russell Westbrook, and Anthony Davis.

But that might not be the case for every Laker. Andre Ingram is not a superstar, and a lot of fans might have even forgotten the name. However, he was on the Lakers’ roster for two years.

During his time with the Lakers, he played a total of six games and averaged 4 points per game. And he didn’t make a lot during his short stints with the Lakers. And it is reported that Ingram almost made half of his season earning through “Wheel of Fortune”.

South Bay Lakers Andre wins big in a game show

Andre Ingram is the G-League’s all-time leader in 3-pointers. He is also the G-League’s all-time leader for games played. But the G-League doesn’t come close to the salaries of the NBA. The former Lakers star grabbed an opportunity to make some money with both hands.

He appeared as a guest in the game show “Wheel of Fortune” for the Secret Santa episode. And the sharpshooter went home with $31,750 but missed out on winning $39,000 by not solving the final puzzle. 

Andre was born on November 19, 1985. He currently plays for the South Bay Lakers of the NBA G-League. Ingram played college basketball for American University. He is their fifth all-time leading scorer with 1,655 points after finishing his four years with the school.

Ingram’s path in the league was not the easiest. In 2007, Ingram went undrafted. He then played for the Utah Flash from 2007 to 2011. Then, he signed for the Los Angeles D-Fenders and played between 2012 and 2016. Then, had a short stint with the Perth Wildcats in 2016.

Then he returned to the Los Angeles D-Fenders in 2017 and continued playing for the re-named South Bay Lakers for the 2017-18 season. Finally, in 2018, he got the call from the Los Angeles Lakers and joined them in 2018. Andre signed to play the final two games of the season.

He was the oldest rookie since 1964 at 32-years-old. On his debut, he scored 19 points and broke multiple records. In the next game, he scored 5 points with 3 rebounds and 6 assists. Ingram then returned to the South Bay Lakers for the 2018-19 season.
