When it came to playing cards, he was equally as competitive. His former rival shared a story of how Jordan refused to leave his house until he had recovered his money.
Jordan is one of the best players to ever come around. His perfect record in the finals shows off his competitive nature in the best way. All he ever wanted to do in the NBA was to win and he did it with dedication. However, apart from basketball, he also loved to play cards.
Hence, when he didn’t have luck going for him, Jordan did not give up and refused to leave Kendall Gill’s house.

Michael Jordan was always competitive
There have been many legendary stories of Jordan’s basketball competitiveness. However, he was the same personality when it came to cards. So when he was losing against Gill, he continued to play all the way till morning until he got his money back.

Gill said: “He was just the ultimate competitor man. And aside from being on the court, we playing cards at my house one day in Charlotte. So we’re playing the game called tonk. And I’m beating him out of his money. This is about 11 at night. This guy does not go home until 7 o’clock in the morning until he wins all of his money back. The thing is most people would say ‘Oh my god, Michael Jordan is on my household’. I was ready for Michael Jordan to leave.”

This just goes to show the obsession that Jordan has in winning wherever he goes. Not all players have the same hunger that Jordan did. For Michael Jordan, that worked in his favor. He won six championships and established himself as one of the best to ever do it.
