Adam Sandler and Anthony Edwards are two names you wouldn’t have heard together till today. Edwards, who has had a breakthrough season with the Minnesota Timberwolves is going to star in Adam Sandler’s new movie, ‘Hustle’. Sandler recently talked to sportscaster Dan Patrick about acquiring the services of the young NBA star.
“I mean you just assumed,” said Sandler, “My man Juancho (Hernangomez). Those guys were teammates. Juancho called Jeremiah who directed the movie and said I think my teammate might want to play Kermit, the bad guy in the movie.” He continued saying, “Then we talked about it and I said Anthony Edwards, man that guy, he’s incredible. I knew he was already funny from just seeing him being interviewed. Just everything he says kind of makes you laugh”.

He concluded, “And that was it. Those two just felt so relaxed together, Danny”. Sandler confirmed that they were so comfortable together that he himself had both of them ad-lib dialogues.

‘Hustle’ has just released recently on Netflix. It stars Adam Sandler as an NBA scout who discovers this new player from Spain played by current NBA star Juancho Hernangomez and tries to prepare him for the NBA draft.
Along with Edwards and Hernangomez, the movie also has cameos from various current and ex-NBA stars such as Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Shaquille O’Neal, Boban Marjanovic, Charles Barkley?and others. The movie was produced by LeBron James through his company, SpringHill Productions.
Anthony Edwards: Potential superstar in the making?

Anthony Edwards had a breakthrough season this year for the Minnesota Timberwolves. In his second year as an NBA player, he has averaged 21.3 points per game with a field goal shooting percentage of 44%. His shooting beyond the arc is not bad too at 34.3%. He also has 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game this season.
Edwards also impressed everyone with his performance against the Memphis Grizzlies during the first round of the playoffs. Edwards outperformed teammate Karl-Anthony Towns and scored 25 points per game. He had a FG percentage of 45% and a three-point shooting percentage of 40%.
