Shaquille O’Neal never fails to express whatever his thoughts are. Whether it is in his podcast or any other interview, Shaq is known for his honesty. Recently, he made some comments regarding superstars in the league that caused some controversy.

Talking on The Big Podcast with Shaq, the 4 time NBA champion asserted that there are only 4 superstars in the league. They are Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant. However, this wasn’t taken well by fans and experts alike.

Former Chicago Bulls star, Jay Williams called Shaq out during a segment of his popular show. Williams talked about how Joel Embiid, Damian Lillard, and others deserve to be called a superstar. Moreover, he even called Zion Williamson a superstar, considering the large number of fans he has.

Williams said, “I mean, is Joel Embiid not a superstar? Is Damian Lillard not a superstar? I mean, there are levels to superstardom, I get that but, come on, man. Zion Williamson, as much as you may not think he’s reached these degrees, he’s a superstar. He has millions of people that follow him on all social platforms.”

This is not the first time Williams has taken shots at Shaq. A few months ago, Williams talked about how O’Neal would not be able to guard Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid.

Interestingly enough, former Bulls star, Jay Williams feels Shaq will be unable to guard Embiid. Williams said, “I think Shaq would have fits trying to guard him. Shaq wouldn’t be able to guard him. I would put him on the perimeter all day long.”

Whether Shaq will be able to guard Embiid or not is something no one knows. However, the matchup would surely break all viewing records. Seeing a 7-foot-1 inch Shaquille O’Neal fight it out against a 7-feet tall Joel Embiid would surely excite fans.
