Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green has the whole world watching him. However, it is not for any reason related to his performance on the basketball court. Rather, Green came into the news for his punch on Jordan Poole.

Former Warriors star Kevin Durant has first-hand experience of facing Draymond’s wrath. The two had an infamous spat during a game which many believe is the reason why KD left.

Talking on a podcast with NFL legend Tom Brady, Durant was asked his opinions on the ‘rare’ Draymond Green punch and Tom Brady’s recent outburst during a game. Like many other athletes, KD pointed out that verbal spats are quite common.

Durant said, yeah, it happens especially in the heat of the moment. I mean, you want to find a solution fast. Sometimes, one of the best ways to do it is get it all out in the moment. If you leave it for the halftime or the next timeout, you might be, in our case, down 10-12 points.

Brady further explained what led to his ugly situation recently. He said, “I do think that it’s a bad day when there are more F-bombs than touchdowns.” The 7 time Super Bowl winner came into the news during the Buccaneer’s loss against the Steelers when he ripped into his teammates for their bad performance.

However, KD’s departure and issues within the team denied them a championship for two seasons. During a game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Durant and Green got into a verbal spat at the end of regulation time after Green failed to pass the ball to KD.

Moreover, Draymond Green crossed the line by bringing up Durant’s impending free agency. When asked whether the fight was one of the reasons why he left, Durant said, “A little bit, yeah. For sure.” He ended a successful stint with the Warriors and joined the Brooklyn Nets as a free agent the following summer.
