However, Steve Kerr recently revealed that they won’t be suspending the forward and would instead fine him. Kerr also revealed that Green would play in the Warriors’ opening game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Draymond Green decided to step away from the Warriors’ side for the time being. However, Kerr has revealed that he expects Green to play the team’s final preseason game against the Nuggets. The Warriors face the Nuggets ahead of their regular season opener against the Lakers.
Green is one of the NBA players with an outspoken character. He has always spoken his mind and has stood up for what he feels is right. However, on some occasions, it has led to him getting fined.
Draymond Green racks up almost $1 million in fines after Poole altercation
Steve Kerr revealed, during a recent press conference, that Green will not be suspended for punching Poole in training.
“He’s been fined, he will not be suspended,” Kerr said.
Earlier this year, Green almost reached the $1 million mark in terms of fines, making him one of the most fined players in NBA history. The exact amount of fine levied by Golden State Warriors on Green for the altercation isn’t known yet. However, it would probably take him over the $1 million figure, considering the magnitude of the incident.

A while ago, Draymond Green was fined $3000 during the NBA Finals for a technical foul. He was also fined $25000 for an obscene gesture during the Warriors-Grizzlies playoffs. These were some of the notable fines he had to pay before the Poole altercation.

During the recent press conference, Kerr revealed that there have been many discussions about the incident. He also praised Warriors star Stephen Curry for playing an instrumental role in these discussions.
“The players have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes,” Kerr said. “Steph has been working like crazy to try to figure out the best way to move forward. So, he’s been organizing some of these conversations.”

Kerr continued: “Jordan and Draymond got together and had a great discussion that I think will help us move forward. So, after this entire week of just assessing everything, this feels right.”
