Once on top of the world, it all seems to be coming crashing down for Kanye West. The popular American rapper was put under fire for his recent actions. Multiple brands have since parted ways with him over his recent antisemitic comments. Likewise, it took a major bump in his net worth. In addition, he also lost his place on a prestigious list with the likes of NBA legends LeBron James and Michael Jordan.

West’s downfall began during a fashion show in Paris. Donning a ‘White Lives Matter’ t-shirt was put forward to be a hate slogan by the Anti-Defamation League. In addition, he also embarked on several other acts which were viewed as antisemitic by the masses. And the consequences were severe. Most of his social media accounts were subsequently taken down following public outrage.

His series of controversial choices made all his lead endorsement brands raise their eyebrows. It started with Balenciaga backing out of their deal with Ye. Now, almost every major brand that was behind Kanye West has left him in the dry. This caused a serious deduction in his net worth. It got to a point where he is no longer a billionaire.

Along with his growing business empire, Kanye West became a global entity. His invasion of the fashion industry gave rise to one of the most popular sneakers, ‘Yeezys’, made in collaboration with Adidas.

However, things changed. West publicly admitted his desire to leave Adidas and take it solo. But before he could do anything, the German giants decided to take matters into their own hands. As the pressure rose for them to drop Kanye following the latest controversy, they finally pulled the plug. Adidas became Kanye West’s biggest loss. His net worth, once worth billions, rocketed down to $400 million. He is now no longer part of the prestigious group of billionaires of the world. The list includes the likes of LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and fellow rapper Jay Z.

But the drama is arguably far from over for West. The biggest hit might not have come just yet. While the loss of brand has plummeted his net worth, his comments on George Floyd are most likely going to invite a hefty lawsuit. Notably, Floyd’s family was enraged at remarks made by West recently and is reportedly preparing a $250 million lawsuit.
