“Flying Around Like a Frisbee”: Shaquille O’Neal, WNBA Legend and ‘Fake Name’ NBA Star Get Exposed on Live TV

Alongside serious basketball action on the hardwood, the hilarious banter and bizarre jokes from fans and players alike keep the NBA world entertained. Especially those involving the Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal, who has made a successful broadcasting career as an NBA analyst after his retirement. Over the years, Shaq has become a fan favorite with his humorous approach in his shows. Although he had a dominating NBA career, the Big Aristotle made a personality shift in his TV stint. Most notably, his friendly banter and pranks with Charles Barkley on camera have kept the NBA audience entertained for ages. However, during a recent NBA on TNT segment, Shaq and other former players got exposed to the mistakes committed during their careers with a hilariously compiled video clip. 

Basketball is a fast-paced game, and it is hard for match officials to consistently make the right calls. Correspondingly, Shaq, WNBA legend Candace Parker, and Jamal Crawford got exposed recently for their previous travel violations on NBA on TNT by an ‘snitch’.

During one of the segments of the post-game analysis of Tuesday night’s game on NBA on TNT, the host segued into a video clip created by an NBA fan. Devin the lab, an NBA fan, compiled a short video clip of travel violations committed by the three panelists. He added a humorous approach to the video and called himself, “I’m the number one social media snitch ref.” He played the travel violations of Crawford along with interesting trivia. He said, “Jamal who’s been deceiving us for years because his first name is Aaron.” Crawford later revealed that ‘Jamal Crawford’ was his stage name.  

Following Crawford, the NBA snith moved on to Shaq. He compiled the clips of the Big Diesel crashing into various objects on the sets of NBA on TNT. Narrating Shaq’s part, he said, “what in the heck are they putting in Shaq’s cup for years, he’s been flying around the TNT set like a frisbee.”

Finally, he concluded the video with the travel violations of Parker. Even though he intended to call out her violations, he instead started with a catchy phrase for the WNBA legend. He said, “She’s got the vision of a psychic, the touch of an Angel, and the temper of an angry Barracuda.” Even though the video clip called out their violations, the legends took it in a sporting spirit.
