Former NBA champion Kyrie Irving is the latest Dallas Mavericks star. He recently made his debut, and several celebrities were in attendance for the game. Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather was the biggest name watching Irving in a Dallas uniform for the first time. After the game, Irving made sure to greet the legend, and the two had a friendly little embrace. Interestingly, Mayweather was also given a jersey by Irving itself.

However, NBA fans across the internet have smelled foul play here. Upon closer inspection of the Irving and Mayweather embrace, it seems Mayweather grabbed the jersey forcefully. This incident between the two sporting icons has fans on Twitter buzzing.

Here’s what fans on Twitter had to say.

Interestingly, a fan feels that Mayweather should hang the jersey and frame it. The reason being? The Dallas Mavericks will be the 2023 NBA champions!

With a team of stars like Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, the Mavs are a team to look out for. Mayweather might consider framing Irving’s debut jersey in his mansion.

The Dallas Mavericks, led by Irving, took on the Los Angeles Clippers with Paul George and Kawi Leonard both playing. Despite Doncic missing out due to injury, getting a win wasn’t a problem.

Irving scored 24 points and led the Mavs’ offense. The team had lost seven games without Doncic before their win over the Utah Jazz. A dominant 110-104 win over the Clippers will certainly fill the team with confidence. The Mavs take on the Minnesota Timberwolves at the American Airlines Center, and Irving is expected to make his home debut.
