The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 108-102 overtime victory to advance to the playoffs. The Lakers will face Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference?s first-round matchup in what is expected to be a hotly-contested matchup. Ecstatic over the Lakers? Play-In victory, Magic Johnson gave the fans credit for their support while giving some pointers to the team for the next matchup. However, his advice wasn’t taken well by everyone, as some fans were left dumbfounded.
The Los Angeles Lakers took part in a hard-fought battle against Minnesota with stellar performances from LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The Lakers even got an enormous boost off the bench from Dennis Schroder. Magic rightly praised the players, but fans slammed his ‘analysis’ for the first-round matchup against the 2nd seed Grizzlies.

There was a time in the latter half of the season when playoffs hope for the Lakers seemed bleak with LeBron James going down with an injury. However, the rest of the squad really stood their ground to keep the team?s playoffs hope alive.
The Los Angeles Lakers managed to stay strong in the face of adversity to qualify for the playoffs, which resulted in many fans and even legends celebrating their accomplishment. One of which was the Lakers legend himself, Magic Johnson.
The five-time NBA champion went to Twitter to share his excitement over the Lakers winning in the play-in tournament. Johnson tweeted, ?If the @Lakers are going to beat the Memphis Grizzlier they have to control the pace and the role players like Reaves, Schr?der, D Lo, Beasley, Hachimura, and Troy Brown Jr. have to play great to help AD and LeBron. I?d also like to see Lonnie Walker play in the Memphis series.?
