5x NBA Champion Magic Johnson Makes a Mockery of Himself Among Fans With Outrageous Lakers vs Grizzlies Take

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 108-102 overtime victory to advance to the playoffs. Play-In victory, Magic Johnson gave the fans credit for their support while giving some pointers to the team for the next matchup. However, his advice wasn’t taken well by everyone, as some fans were left dumbfounded.

The Los Angeles Lakers took part in a hard-fought battle against Minnesota with stellar performances from LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The Lakers even got an enormous boost off the bench from Dennis Schroder. Magic rightly praised the players, but fans slammed his ‘analysis’ for the first-round matchup against the 2nd seed Grizzlies.

There was a time in the latter half of the season when playoffs hope for the Lakers seemed bleak with LeBron James going down with an injury. However, the rest of the squad really stood their ground to keep the team?s playoffs hope alive.

The Los Angeles Lakers managed to stay strong in the face of adversity to qualify for the playoffs, which resulted in many fans and even legends celebrating their accomplishment. One of which was the Lakers legend himself, Magic Johnson.

The five-time NBA champion went to Twitter to share his excitement over the Lakers winning in the play-in tournament. Johnson tweeted, ?I?m really happy the Lakers pulled off the 108-102 victory last night against the stubborn Timberwolves in overtime! Big shot by Dennis Schr?der to seal the victory and another stellar performance by LeBron James with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.?

The former 6?9 point guard also credited the fans for the team?s victory. Johnson followed the tweet above with another stating, ?I want to give Laker Nation a lot of credit. The fans were standing all fourth quarter and during overtime to help will the @Lakers to victory!?

But this wasn’t the end of Johnson’s tweets as his advice to the Lakers made fans troll his analysis.

The tweets sent out by Magic Johnson were all in good spirits until he decided to give some pointers from his end. Though the five-time NBA champion only wanted to help the team, fans seemingly did not agree with him.

Johnson tweeted, ?If the @Lakers are going to beat the Memphis Grizzlier they have to control the pace and the role players like Reaves, Schr?der, D Lo, Beasley, Hachimura, and Troy Brown Jr. have to play great to help AD and LeBron. I?d also like to see Lonnie Walker play in the Memphis series.?

Fans called the 12x All-Star out for suggesting the Lakers play with more guards along with a bigger rotation than is usually required in the postseason. To that, one fan tweeted, ?Sir that?s too many guards. Only need 8 dudes in the Offs.?

While another fan commented, ?That?s a 9 man rotation.? Not sure that?s feasible.?
