Thanks to Me’arah O’Neal, Santa Monica High School became a famous name around the country. After a sudden growth spurt in the middle of her teen years, O’Neal decided to take full advantage of it. Now standing as a 6’4 giant, O’Neal is a center just like her dad.
In 24 games for Santa Monica in her freshman year, Me’arah had a winning record of 19-5. However, her ability to dunk and shoot at just 17 years of age stands as her most impressive skill. Moreover, with a 6’4, 154 lbs physique, O’Neal has received attention from a few of the best universities.

Well, Griner did not play for the LSU Tigers. However, she did play for 61-year-old Kim Mulkey who is now the coach for the LSU Tigers’ women’s team. Mulkey was previously the coach for Baylor University, where 2012 NCAA champion Griner was a sensation.

After 21 years of coaching Baylor in which she led them to three national titles, Kim Mulkey decided to join hands with 4-time champion Shaq’s former college in 2021. In just two years, Mulkey and the Tigers have already delivered the program’s first-ever championship.
