NBA legends Shaquille O?Neal and Charles Barkley are one of the funniest duos on TV. Fans around the world love the hilarious antics of the two on NBA on TNT. While the two have had some heated moments arguing over the years, it is usually just banter between the two. Also, other crew members Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith pull Shaq or Barkley’s legs now and then. Now, Hollywood superstar George Clooney has joined in on the act with the crew as well.

The $500 million worth actor is a huge fan of basketball and plays it from time to time. Also, Clooney reportedly played high school basketball as a youngster. He had an interesting message for Shaq and Barkley recently.

George Clooney reportedly founded the Casamigos Tequila along with Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman in 2013. Ernie Johnson recounted the time when the Casamigos was a sponsor of a show during March Madness and talked about Kenny Smith “begging” for cases of tequila. The Houston Rockets legend denied the “begging” part. So the crew showed Smith asking for 20 cases of Casamigos Tequila a few weeks back. Interestingly, Clooney heard about the request and sent gifts for Ernie, Kenny, Shaquille O?Neal, and Charles Barkley along with customized messages. Ernie delivered the envelopes and asked them to read out the actor’s messages.

Barkley read out Clooney’s message for O’Neal, “Shaq, you are the true Superman – George.” Ernie then opened Chuck’s envelope and read the hilarious message, “Charles, I have seen you play golf.”?The Hall of Famer said, “George that was unkind.”?Furthermore, while the other three received huge bottles of tequila, Chuck received mini ones. Kenny asked Barkley what he was thinking. He replied, “Can’t say it on TV.”

The crew loved Clooney’s hilarious message and gifts to the Philadelphia 76ers legend and could not stop laughing. However, the 1993 NBA MVP was a good sport and thanked the Hollywood star for the gifts and for sponsoring the show.

George Clooney tied the knot with human rights lawyer Amal Clooney in 2014 and they have two children together. Even though Clooney was a high school basketball star, he once revealed that his wife is better at basketball and other sports than him. He said, “We had a free throw-shooting contest at our house in England with the former President of the United States, Barack Obama, and she beat us all. Amal made 17 free throws straight ? and 18 out of 20.”
