After winning the finals, he sat down with the ESPN post-game analysis panel, which included Pistons great Isiah Thomas. After briefly discussing the role of coach Malone, the reaction of fans in Serbia, and the role of his teammates, the crew talked about his future plans after the title-run. As the crew mentioned the championship parade and asked about when he will return to his hometown Sombor, the first thing that came to Jokic’s mind was horseracing.
“On Sundays, I have my horseracing.”, said an excited Jokic. The crew was well aware of his love of horseracing and was going to ask him questions pertaining to it. Scratching his chin, it appeared that the record-breaking Center couldn’t wait for the event. He further stated, “I don’t know how I’m going to arrive. Thursday, late. Friday, maybe. I’m going to ask Josh(Nuggets owner) to give me a plane” And right on cue, there he was, after a 5,589 miles trip from Denver to Somber, watching what is close to his heart.
Jokic’s love for horses is intense

There are extensive records of Joker’s love for horses. In 2021, a photo went viral in which he is riding a horse chariot. As per reports, he went to his hometown Sombor and, in a short time, went for horse-riding. He owns more than a dozen horses and he bought his first horse after being drafted by the Denver Nuggets in 2016.
His love for this activity is so deep that he put a hold on his basketball career when he was 12 and tried his luck in horseracing. However, his father advised him to stick with basketball. Luckily for the Denver Nuggets, he listened to his advice.
