Former Los Angeles Lakers star Russell Westbrook has been on the receiving end of some of the harshest criticisms over the past year or so. Things got out of hand right before the trade deadline when Westbrook was traded to the Utah Jazz. A report by ESPN that used an unnamed source referred to him as a ‘vampire’. This naturally wasn’t taken well by fans of Russ and the NBA world.
Westbrook’s wife, Nina, took a stance for him. She called out the reports calling him a vampire and also recently posted a photo with Westbrook on her Instagram story.

Wife posts Russell Westbrook update after major controversy
There is still no clarity regarding the Russell Westbrook situation. He was traded to the Utah Jazz in a three-way deal just before the trade deadline. This deal brought former Laker star DeAngelo Russell back to the Lake Show.
Recently, Nina posted a picture with her husband on her Instagram story. There have been no major updates about Russ after the ‘vampire’ controversy and this is probably the first time NBA fans have got a glimpse of Westbrook. In the picture posted by Nina Earl, the two seem to be enjoying each other’s company in the comfort of their home.
Nina Earl is a former basketball player who primarily played as a forward. Much like her husband, she was talented enough to play anywhere on the court. The two reportedly started seeing each other in 2007 and tied the knot in 2015.
