Klay Thompson is all set to welcome his brother-like childhood hero with open arms. Mike Dunleavy Jr. is all set to join the Warriors as their new GM. In a recent interview with Anthony Slater of the Athletic, Thompson comments, ?Well, I love Mike Dunleavy.?

Klay Thompson gets nostalgic
Thompson reminisces how he practically grew up watching Dunleavy play for the Jesuit High School in Portland. Dunleavy had gone from playing at the McDonald?s All-American game to playing in the NBA.

Dunleavy Jr. was picked by the Warriors and was the 3rd overall pick that year. Thompson acknowledged Mike?s achievements, saying ?This was a huge deal for Oregon. We didn?t have a lot of guys doing that.?
Thompson is more than delighted at this reunion. He pleasingly confesses. ?Now, he?s technically my boss after he was kind of a big brother growing up, going over to his house, having him throw us in the pool and that junk. Now working with him is crazy.? Thompson has a lot of faith in Dunleavy?s abilities. The Warriors’ #1 shooting guard admits, ?I know Mike will do great things.?
