The Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid is currently the top runner for the prestigious MVP award. After losing the MVP award for the last two seasons, Joel Embiid has once again stepped up and delivered consistent performances to lead the MVP race. Nonetheless, some fans and analysts have put Embiid’s candidacy in dubious light. As the discussions on the MVP award have become full swing with the conclusion of the regular season, an analyst let out an outspoken take on the 76ers centerpiece and prompted many fans to agree with him.
The conclusion of the post season has got every other bunch of analysts debating over Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Jokic, the trio running the MVP race. In one such discussion, veteran analyst Chris Broussard called out Embiid. Fans outside the ‘Embiid cult’ responded as if they were waiting to hear what Chris Broussard said.

Joel Embiid has recently caught the attention of the NBA community after revealing his thoughts on the MVP award in an interview with The Athletic. The 76ers icon proclaimed that he had been running for the award for the last two seasons. He even revealed that he believed he had what it takes to claim the award last season. Moreover, Embiid added that there is a general dislike towards him. This attitude of the potential MVP has not gone well with analysts like Broussard.
In their last meeting with the Miami Heat, the 76ers got thoroughly outplayed. Apparently, Chris Broussard and co. started to examine the potential implications of the defeat on Embiid’s MVP prospect, in an episode of First Things First. Broussard overlooked the defeat and claimed that Embiid still is the most favored candidate. However, he rendered a crude take on the potential MVP later.
"Because Embiid, and I love him and he's awesome, but he has created a narrative of "FEEL SORRY FOR ME" and that helped him in this year's vote" 😂😂 Well congrats, Embiid. Over the summer Giannis and Jokic need to work on their pity-begging game. Just amateurs compared to Joel. pic.twitter.com/7zE8pdwpst

The veteran analyst implied that Embiid has been playing a victim card.
“Because Embiid, and I love him and he’s awesome, but he has created a narrative of ‘Feel Sorry For Me’ and that helped him in this year’s vote,” said Chris Broussard.
Fans storm to twitter in agreement with the analyst’s outspoken take
Chris Broussard’s scathing attack on Embiid came down as a boon for the supporters of the other two MVP runners. Fans feasted on the clip shared by a Nikola Jokic supporter and threw jibes at Joel Embiid.

As vehement as the tirade gets.
All so Embiid. Begs for votes, begs for calls, begs for games off.
Can't win a ring by begging though. Gotta earn those.
