The Golden State Warriors aren’t as lost as everyone expected them to be this season without Klay Thompson. Although not perfect, they have gotten themselves together and currently stand tenth in the Western Conference. Their season hasn’t been consistent, but that could be because of adding so many new players to their roster. They look like they’re trying to find their rhythm and chemistry, but so far, Steph Curry is the only one who has helped them keep their head above the water.
Curry, who was supposed to sign an extension before it gets expired at the end of 2021-22, hasn’t done it up till now. While this has some Warriors fans worried, their general manager believes Curry is there to stay.

Will Steph Curry sign his extension?
Looking at their 19-18 record and how competitive the West is, there is still a chance the Golden State Warriors will miss their chance at making it to the playoffs. But the bigger concern was that if the franchise continues to perform badly, Curry would want to take his talents elsewhere.
However, the Warriors front office is elite. Even though they are struggling right now, they make a plethora of brilliant moves in the offseason. Right now, too, they have several young players that can bring the Warriors’ glory days back and continue their dynasty.
Steph, who has won all three of his championships with them, won’t give up on them so easily. Even Bob Myers is hopeful that Curry will sign the extension. “I think he likes our organization. I think he likes his teammates. Feel pretty good about him wanting to be around,” said Myers.

Wise to stick with the Warriors?
Ever since Curry joined the Warriors, they have been more successful than ever. They have had bad luck in the injuries department, but there is more certainty that Steve Kerr brings out the best in Steph and the rest of the roster. This looks like just a bump in the road, because they will always be an elite organization.
There is no doubt that the superstar will age at his best. But when this contract ends, he will be 34-years old. It is only smarter to get an extension and continue to benefit from the perks.

Although it looks like the Warriors don’t have much to worry about. Steph has never expressed a want for greener pastures and actually looks happy with them.
