Shaquille O’Neal is known to give great gifts. He once gifted an aspiring young basketball athlete 10 pairs of size 18 sneakers. Shaquille O’Neal has a big and giving heart. Son Shareef O’Neal was on the receiving end of father Shaq’s gifting nature. Upon receiving his driving license, Shaq gifted his son Shareef a brand new Porche SUV. 

Shareef was beyond content and was smiling and gushing throughout. O’Neal gifted his son a Porsche Cayenne in the event of him getting his driver’s license. Shaunie O’Neal was documenting this on her reality show called ‘Basketball Wives. Shareef spoke about driving his young siblings around and taking his car for a ride. This was Shaq’s sweet 16 gift for his eldest son. 

Shaunie and Shareef took the first ride in the Porche. The fifth episode in season 1 of VH1’s ‘Basketball Wives‘ saw Shareef receive a royal blue supercar. Shaunie was a proud mother when Shareef cleared his driving test. Shaq had already bought a brand new car for his son. However, Shaunie was not particularly happy with Shaq’s gift after Shareef acted disinterested in taking his siblings to school. It was almost as if Shaq’s gift backfired with Shaunie, as she was not happy that Shareef did not wish to partake in any family errands.

Shaq married Shaunie in 2002; however, the couple eventually split up due to their differences. They got divorced in 2011, and Shaunie recently married Pastor Keion Henderson over a decade later. O’Neal has six kids – Shareef O’Neal, Myles B. O’Neal, Amirah O’Neal, Me’arah O’Neal, Shaqir O’Neal, and Taahirah O’Neal, all of whom have received multiple gifts from Shaq. 

Shareef O’Neal gets a Porche but Shaunie O’Neal is not happy.

Shaunie and Miami Heat star Shaquille O’Neal discussed amongst each other and gave their son Shareef a brand new car. Shaunie wanted Shareef to help out with taking his sibling to school when summer gets over. Shareef was not interested in helping his parents as he did not want to get distracted by the kids when he was driving. When Shaunie was giving her interview, Shareef put on earphones to block out the words of his mother.

Shaunie said, “When it’s time for school to start and he can help take the kids to school, that commute is gonna be so drastically different. I’m so glad that he’s finally got this drivers- Oh, Wow, You’re Rude!”

Shareef does not want the kids to shout and create a ruckus in his car and refuses to participate in any trips to their school, be it picking them up or dropping.

Shaquille O’Neal gifts son two cars for his 16th birthday

The former Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal explained the rationale for gifting his son a car at 16 years of age. On an episode of ‘The Big Podcast With Shaq,‘ O’Neal talked about how his son is responsible and deserves the car as he made a deal with him early on.

Shaq said, “I bought them for him, but I didn’t give them to him that day. But they’re his. You get all A’s, son. The Lambo’s yours whenever you want. He has a low B average. I told him to get that low B average, and if you do certain things in basketball, when you get your license, you can get the Jeep.”

O’Neal has also gifted his son a Jeep and a Lamborghini. The Lamborghini is a Gallardo, featuring a matte blue exterior paint style, while the Jeep is a custom Wrangler.
