His iconic words: ‘Mi Familia, ’ stay in the hearts of every fan. The thrilling movie franchise is all set for its news installation, Fast X. Revetted for his heart-touching speeches, the NBA chose Diesel to begin the All-Star evening and hype up the arena. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to hit the fans’ emotions in Utah.
NBA athletes are arguably more than their job description. They are heroes to the younger generation. In addition, their various initiatives off the court make them a symbol of hope. The superstars put it all on the court to entertain the fans. The All-Star game is the biggest show, with the most talented stars competing against each other. Each year the NBA raises the bar higher to deliver a night of electrifying energy for the fans.
This year they adapted to a new draft system. And to kick off the wave in Utah, the league chose Vin Diesel. However, his speech elicited a strange response.

Vin Diesel can’t always choose family in the NBA
The Fast and Furious actor dressed as his movie character, Dominic Toretto. A leather jacket with a huge X on the back shouting out his upcoming movie. As the fans in Utah and around the world watched, Diesel spoke about dreaming of watching an NBA game. The feeling brought up an immense honor to present the 2023 All-Star game. He spoke about the contest being the purest form of competition. But he pushed the bar a little too high on the player when he said, “These players have made sacrifices, game after game, play after play, so families like mine could be inspired.”
Fans went straight after the 55-year-old for his strange speech to kick off the evening, as shared by NBA Central.

Thankfully for the fans, the superstars didn’t disappoint. Even when the captains, LeBron James, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, barely saw the floor, one duo lit up the night. Boston Celtics’ superstar duo of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum thrilled the entire arena clashing head to head. Brown went off for a team-high 35 points on the losing Team LeBron. Outshining his performance was Tatum’s historic outing. The 24-year-old sizzled all night and took off for 55 points, an All-Star game record.

Donovan Mitchell joined hands to perform a shooting masterclass in the third quarter. The Cleveland Cavaliers star finished the game with 40 points and ten assists. In his return as an All-Star, Kyrie Irving put up 32 points and 15 assists. Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid too scored 32 for Team LeBron.
