The Golden State Warriors made their way back to the top after making it into the NBA Finals this season. With a chance to win yet another championship, the players are all set to go. However, there was a time when making the grand stage was a habit for the Bay. When Kevin Durant was with the Warriors, they were nearly unstoppable.

But a few problems and an argument with Draymond Green saw the former MVP leave. Now, they were involved in yet another exchange on Twitter over Green’s comments on his podcast. With Durant talking, the NBA fans seemed to give him a reality check.

Golden State was by far the best team in the NBA after they won back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018 with KD joining their roster. However, with him heading into free agency soon, the tension was high. There were rumors about him choosing to leave, and the Warriors did everything in their power to make him stay put.

But their efforts came falling apart after KD and Green had an argument on the court which made things even more clear. Durant decided to go to the Brooklyn Nets while Green and the Bay struggled for two seasons.

Similar to their exchange on the court, the two went back and forth on Twitter over Green’s comments on Stephen Curry and Durant. But the fans did not like KD’s response and went straight after him.

Kevin Durant faces major heat after argument with Draymond Green

During one of the episodes of his podcast, Green spoke about his teammate, Curry, and his true impact on the Warriors. While trying to make his point, he made a statement about Curry facing more double teams than Kevin Durant while they played together. This caught the Easy Money Sniper’s attention. Likewise, he did not keep quiet and said he doesn’t agree with the comments his former teammate made.

Green hit back and said Durant should watch the entire episode and not let a few words mislead his judgment. While Durant admitted to watching the entire podcast, his stand did not change. This backfired onto him as Warriors fans jumped him following his comments.

KD faced major hate from Warriors fans after he left them. But nothing can take away from the impact he had on their success. His entrance changed the entire dynamic and made them an unbeatable team. It took an injury to stop Durant and the Warriors from successfully achieving a three-peat.

Winning the Finals MVP in successive years, Durant was the force they needed to make the final push following their shocking 2016 loss. However, Green wasn’t wrong about Curry either.
