The Dallas Mavericks might possibly be the biggest disappointment this season. Even with two All-Star guards Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving on the team, the Mavericks couldn’t prove their worth this season. After facing an embarrassing loss in a crucial game today against the Chicago Bulls, the Dallas Mavericks billionaire owner, Mark Cuban’s reaction stands as a highlight as fans continue to throw shade at Luka Doncic and co after missing out on the postseason.

The Mavs were already facing the wrath of fans after resting the likes of Irving and others for this win-or-go-home game. Moreover, the decision to shut Luka Doncic down after the first quarter received even more backlash. The Dallas Mavericks were officially eliminated from Playoff contention after tonight’s loss and they will have a lot to prove next season.

The Dallas Mavericks’ season is over

Already with enough pressure around the organization, the Doncic-led Mavericks lost to the Chicago Bulls at home. This will be the first time Luka Doncic will miss the postseason since his rookie year in the league. Doncic, who started the game, played only for 13 minutes to score 13 points.

Though the Mavericks had a great lead toward the end of the third quarter, they could not hold it till the end of the game. Even without their main stars DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, the Chicago Bulls came up clutch to destroy the Mavericks fans’ hopes. However, billionaire owner Mark Cuban’s reaction, who was courtside, became a big talking point after the game. Cuban was in denial after a Mavericks guard missed a game-tying three in the end.

The head coach of the losing team, Jason Kidd, provided the fans with an update for the next season. The former NBA star revealed, “A lot of people won?t be back next season. There will be a lot of new faces”,?assuring the fans of a change in the team.?

Fans mock Mark Cuban as Luka Doncic and co. miss postseason

Though it is a heartbreaking loss for the passionate owner, fans do not seem to have any sympathy for Cuban. Even after supporting his team almost every game this season from courtside, fans continue to mock the billionaire. The Dallas Mavericks, who made it to the Western Conference finals last year, couldn’t even make it to the play-in this season.
