In 2003, right before being drafted into the NBA, LeBron James dribbled on the court at the Gund Arena, in Cleveland. He flaunted the McDonald’s All-American jersey and played alongside his high school peers and competitors. LeBron’s East team won the high school All-Star game by 15 points while James was crowned MVP. The game was live on ESPN, and fans continue to fondly remember this game. 20 years later, LeBron’s son Bronny has made it to the McDonald’s All-American West team. This was a moment of nostalgia and pride, but fans jumped on the bandwagon to shower hateful comments on Bronny.
As written by Dave McMenamin from ESPN, the list of high school players selected included Peja Stojaković‘s son, Andrej. Peja, an NBA Champion, faced LeBron in the NBA. Additionally, the four-time NBA Champion’s former teammate Dajuan Wagner’s son was on this elite list, as well.

However, some fans noticed that Peja’s son was part of the list and grew nostalgic. Fans mentioned that they felt old looking after realizing that several NBA players’ sons were on the list. They recalled the days when these NBA players played the high school all-star game and claimed to feel “seasoned” with this realization. Here are some of the reactions:
I find it so poetic that Bron played against Peja Stojakovic in his first ever NBA game and now their sons are both McDonald’s All Americans. https://t.co/6pQkiu22Rz
