In the history of the NBA, there have been many discussions about the greatest three-pointer that has been sunk before Stephen Curry broke Ray Allen’s record. The three-pointer shot is Stephen Curry’s specialty. In the past, Stephen and Andre Iguodala were compared to see who was better.
In an earlier edition of one of ESPN’s premier shows, Max Kellerman released a statement. It mentioned Max saying, “I want Iguodala” with context towards clutch shooting. Over two years on, Iguodala attempted to take a clutch three-pointer and failed to do so. Twitter users reacted furiously to Max’s statement by linking it to the video of the Iguodala attempt.

The Max Kellerman poem “I want Iguodala” over Stephen Curry
Max got a question on “First Take” back in June 2019 about who he would choose from Stephen and Iguodala to take the last shot. In response, he said, “I want Iguodala,” Kellerman declared. “That’s right…Iguodala’s got ice water in his veins… high-leverage moment — the fate of the universe on the line — open shot … I want Iguodala taking that shot for me.”
The comparison between Stephen and Iguodala in this statement caused a lot of headlines. Chiefly, Kellerman’s statements came a while back, but Iguodala recently played in a game between the Warriors and Nuggets. Iguodala attempted to hit an airball that would have tied the game, but he couldn’t get it to the basket.
After that, the video clip went viral on social media and many fans made some snide comments, mentioning Max’s statement and connecting the two.
Several people wrote that it was their dream to see Max Kellerman’s statement come to fruition, given his confidence in Iguodala over Curry.
Congratulations, Iguodala. You just killed us.
