Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving have cemented the off-season 2021 as one memorable time for the league. Ben, specifically, seems to have come full circle as he’s finally showing a sign of acceptance towards the Philadelphia Sixers. And now, he has some outside support from Allen Iverson to back his decision.
The Sixers went 2-2 in the preseason. This was quite impressive, given they lacked one All-Star and could still beat a solid team like Kevin Durant’s Nets. However, they are last year’s EC table-toppers and they’d need that helping hand to retain the rank this year. So is it finally happening after all?

Fans with a mixed reaction to Allen Iverson and his comments on Ben Simmons
Not every Philadelphia Sixers legend is like Charles Barkley, not at least Allen Iverson. Recently, AI came forward to show some support and wish Ben Simmons all the luck with his Twitter account. But funnily, The Answer tagged the wrong Ben on Twitter and fans took no time in catching it.
Take a look at how one of the many fans reacted to the Hall of Famer’s blunder –

Certainly, the 11x All-Star is not in the business of reading comments to his posts or he had corrected his mistake by now. Also, the fans reacted to AI’s wishful remark for his beloved franchise’s lost hero.

Will this become Harden-esque for the Sixers?
Last year, James Harden tried every trick to force the Houston Rockets to trade him off. As a result, The Beard played eight games for the Rockets before the organization finally sent him to the Nets. That pushback from the 9x All-Star led to him missing practices with the new Rockets and that led to a poor start (that continued) for the team.
So now, after Ben Simmons is again close to playing in a Philly jersey, can the Sixers fans expect a Harden-styled friction? Well, it is still early to say this because nothing is certain when it is Ben. Neither his game nor his decisions.
