The Charlotte Hornets, after losing in the Play-In tournament, have parted ways with their head coach, James Borrego. The Hornets lost to the Atlanta Hawks and were eliminated from clinching a playoff berth. Unfortunately, LaMelo Ball and the young squad couldn’t quite cut it this season.

The team has to improve its roster and coaching staff. Not only that, the roster is pretty young, and adding a couple of veterans would help a lot. The Hornets, though, might have an early nominee. A fake Twitter account shared a post of the next potential head coach for the Hornets, which turned out to be fake.

The Hornets should choose their next head coach wisely. The young roster will need good guidance and a presence of a veteran. There are coaches out who are going to change teams after this postseason. The Lakers fired Frank Vogel a few days after the season ended and are now looking for a new coach. NBA fans on Twitter fell for fake news that stated LaVar Ball as the Hornets’ next head coach.

This wouldn’t have been a wise decision. As there is no history of LaVar coaching teams on a professional level. Although someone like Doc Rivers would be great for the Hornets.

The Hornets have never won a playoff series under Michael Jordan. This does question Jordan’s management skills, especially after his achievements as a player. Jordan is regarded as one of the most skilled players in NBA history. Jordan did seem impressed after LaMelo’s rookie season, but if the team does not get better around him, Ball might leave the Hornets soon.
