Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant did not have a great playoff run. Not only did his team got swept by the Boston Celtics, but Durant also underperformed massively and the Celtics’ defense shut him down. His critics are already calling him out for his poor play and his comments post the series. But Durant has not kept quiet, and he has lashed out. And that did not go well with the fans.
Durant had called himself a ‘God’ in one of the post-game conferences and he even received flak for that. But he backed it up with outstanding performances. However, after this series, many questioned his nickname.
One fan called him out and said. “Calling yourself the god after that series is crazy.”?But Durant did not like that and he clapped back at the fan. He replied, “I don?t get why you guys are so mad at what I call myself. It?s about good affirmations right? Be happy for me.”

Kelvin, I’m a youth football coaching legend, and if you called yourself that on my team, you’d be practicing without water. When you step on my field, I am the law. There is no higher power. Very selfish attitude for you

How did the Celtics shut down KD?
Before the series started, many did not give the Celtics a chance. After all, they were facing two of the best half-court creators in the game. Many have called them the most skilled duo in NBA history. But the Celtics had different ideas.

They shut down both Kyrie and Durant for the majority of the series. They played a physical brand of basketball which limited the duo. Every time they touched the ball, they were seeing multiple defenders. When they went out to receive the ball, they made sure they felt multiple bodies.
This hampered the others as well as they couldn’t get good shots. The duo was not in rhythm at all and turned the ball over too many times. This eventually cost them the series.
