Former Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan did not stop with basketball. Adding victories to his resume might be a hobby for the six-time champion. After his impeccable career in basketball, Jordan shifted his interests and investments toward NASCAR. However, the narrative for the 5x MVP might be different here. In the recent ‘Daytona 500’ cup series race conducted by NASCAR, the former Cleveland Cavaliers center got the best of Michael Jordan.

48-time NASCAR series cup winner Denny Hamlin, who is a minority partner in Jordan’s racing company, the “23XI”, had a tough loss yesterday. Though the loss was a surprise, Jordan’s trash talk with his former NBA rival is not new.

The former center of the Cavs Brad Daugherty, after ending his basketball career in 1994, went on start a fresh new one with NASCAR. After years of broadcasting and analyzing the racing sport for ESPN, Daugherty put his money into the car racing company. The 7’0 former center who is a co-owner of the JTG Daugherty racing made sure he got the first win before his rival Jordan.

In the ‘Daytona 500’ yesterday, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. of the JTG Daugherty racing bagged first place with 48 points to lift the cup. Travis Pastrana, who represented Jordan’s “23XI” did not even make it to the top 10, finishing 11th with 26 points. Jordan who missed the All-Star weekend to witness the race, ended up facing humiliation

However, this did not stop Jordan from continuing his trash talk. Part owner of the “JTG Daugherty” Jodi Geschickter, in her recent interview mentioned, “I talked to him[Brad Daugherty] for few minutes. He said that he and Michael Jordan are already talking trash”. Nothing can stop Jordan from going back at his opponents. Fans are now eager to watch “23XI” and Jordan get their revenge on Daugherty and co.

However, the Bulls legend’s cup series loss to his former rival has caught the attention of NBA buffs. Fans continue to mock Jordan, as Daugherty got the first win before him but in a different sport.
